| | Wow. Yesterday was a pretty awesome day. Like, really awesome. I can tell because the weather cooperated with us for the entire day. So that's always a good sign.
First we went to the Esplanade around noon/1 ish and sat for a bit and reserved our spots right by the waterline. We played some Uno and some games, waited around till 3 and went back to PKT for a roofdeck BBQ. Yummy BBQ, Shaws trip, cranberry muffins, and then we headed back to the Esplanade around 6 pm to wait another 3/4 hours for the fireworks. We played Contact, card games (or variations of em) and just broke bread, ate bread and pretzels and yummy hummus. We laughed, we made jokes, we ended the Pops concert and sang really loudly out of tume for Sweet Caroline...
...and then there were THE FIREWORKS.
They were just so amazing and so big. I don't think I've ever seen them so beautiful up close. With a group of friends whom I really cared about and I know who cared about me. It was probably the most memorial July 4th I've had. :)
On a side note, this is a line that came to me yesterday when I was reflecting and I can't seem to forget about it...
"He plants seeds, hoping that we will wait long enough for them to blossom"
Also, when I was doing QT outside Isaiah 42 (and consequently 43) came to mind. Very interesting
